James went to modeling school at age twelve and dropped out of school to model at the age of fourteen. She was in most major magazines including three covers of American Cosmopolitan–all in one year. Appeared in not-so-huge movies (Four Faces of God, The Happy Campers and Bar Hop). James has small roles in the following 2001 movies: Blow, Pearl Harbour and The Beauty Loop. Naomi Campbell, born May 22, 1970 in Streatham, South London, England. Naomi began her career at 15, when Beth Boldt, an agent at Elite, spotted her walking down a London Street near Covent Garden (and near her school) and offered to have her pictures taken. She grew up in a lower-middle-class London neighborhood.
Naomi Campbell made approx. $3.6 million (U.S.) in 1994. Her estimated worth in 2000 was $28.9 million. In August 1988, when Naomi was just 18, she appeared as the first black woman to grace the cover of a major fashion magazine–French Vogue–and was catapulted to supermodeldom. Naomi has two books out, a novel called ‘Swan’ which was released in 1995 (it turns out that somebody else wrote most of it) and a book simply titled ‘Naomi’. Eva Herzigova, born March 10, 1973 in Litvinov, Czech Republic. Eva grew up in a mountain village in northern Czechoslovakia until one day, on a visit to Prague with her parents, she ran into one of her friends who told her that a French agency (Madison) was organizing a modeling contest. At 16, she entered and won the contest, and six months later moved to Paris to model full time.

Estella Warren, born December 23, 1978 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Her big break came in 1996, when pictures of her from a high school fashion show were sent to an New York agent. Her first shoot was a somewhat casual one. Highly acclaimed fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth snapped some polaroids of her while riding in a limo.
